can i sue a store in chinatown for selling me an imitation and not giving me a receipt?
i bought a bb gun at chinatown at thursday january 28 2010. the person did not give me a receipt. then i assembled the gun once i got home. then i shot it like 2 or 3 times but the scope wasnt working very good. so on sunday january 31 2010 i was adjusting the scope to 0,dead center, then for some reason when i was adjusting it the trigger wont fire. i only shot the gun twice in that day. so i shot the gun around 5-6 times in total. then i went to the store to ask them return it and they said ”no refune. no exchange”. the only thing they can do for me is fix it. now i wont im screwed with broken $170 gun. i found out that the gun was an imitation. now i want to sue them for selling without receipt and for selling an imitation. in that store i bouth 3 things already and no receipt at all. i bought 2 bb guns and a belt buckle/breass knuckle. those chinese people r cheap they r so cheap they wont give u a receipt .
IT depends on where you live, but generally they are not required to give you a receipt and no store is required to take anything back. Why didn’t you ask for receipts???
The most you might have is a false advertising charge if you can prove they said the gun was real and not an imitation. But if it was verbal, you won’t succeed.
You are also a racist pig. I have to wonder why you want guns and brass knuckles.
They said they would fix it, so let them fix it. If you don’t let them do that, then you would have no suit. But it’s pretty much buyer beware. If the gun comes with a warranty, go after the manufacturer. The store does not have to warranty what it sells.
If they sell cheap stuff, what does that make you for buying from them, repeatedly. That’s right! CHEAP!
